Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred in comfort to Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s renowned northern safari circuit. Today you will travel from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, one of the most beautiful and wildlife-rich parks in Tanzania. The Tarangire River flows through the park and attracts many animals such as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and buffalo. Where these animals gather, predators like lions are often nearby, giving you a good chance to see them during your game drive.
During the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes the main source of water in the area. This brings large herds of elephants, making Tarangire home to one of the largest elephant populations in Northern Tanzania. Elephants here are calm and curious, and they often come close to safari vehicles, allowing for amazing viewing and photography.
Tarangire is also known for its ancient baobab trees, some of the largest and oldest in Africa. These trees create a unique and stunning landscape across the park.
Today you will visit the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your day begins early with a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, you will stop at a viewpoint offering breathtaking panoramic views over the enormous crater an unforgettable photo opportunity.
You will descend approximately 600 meters into the crater, a natural enclosure formed by an ancient volcanic collapse. The drive down takes about 30 minutes, passing through lush forest and dramatic landscapes.
Once on the crater floor, you will enjoy a full game drive in one of the most wildlife-dense areas in Africa. Animals you may encounter include: Lions, hyenas, Large herds of buffalo and zebras, Elephants and various antelope species. With luck, you may also spot the endangered black rhino, making this one of the few places in Tanzania where it is still possible to see them.
Note: Giraffes are not found inside the crater.
Around midday, you will stop at a designated picnic site near Lake Magadi, located within the crater. This is a perfect moment to enjoy your packed lunch surrounded by nature watch hippos resting in the water and observe birds such as kites and other water species
After lunch, continue your game drive as you explore different parts of the crater floor, taking in more wildlife and scenery. In the late afternoon, you will ascend the crater and continue your journey toward the Ndutu region, known for its open plains and excellent predator sightings.
Today your safari takes you to the remote and beautiful Ndutu region, located in the southwestern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, near the border of the Serengeti National Park. This area is known for its wide open plains, scenic landscapes, and fewer visitors, offering a more private and authentic safari experience. Wildlife moves freely between Serengeti and Ndutu, making it a rich and active ecosystem throughout the year.
Ndutu lies along the path of the Great Migration. Between late January and mid-March, this area becomes one of the most dramatic wildlife stages in Africa. During this time thousands of wildebeest give birth across the plains. Newborn calves stand within minutes and run within hours, the open landscape fills with life and movement. This natural event attracts predators, creating incredible opportunities to witness real wildlife action.
Ndutu is one of the best places in Tanzania to see big cats, including: Lions in large prides, Cheetahs hunting across the plains, Leopards resting in trees, Serval and caracal (rare but possible sightings). The presence of newborn animals makes predator activity more frequent, offering excellent chances for photography and unforgettable sightings.
Beyond the wildlife, Ndutu offers stunning scenery: Endless open plains, Acacia woodlands and Seasonal lakes attracting birds and wildlife. With fewer vehicles in the area, your safari feels peaceful, exclusive, and unhurried.
Enjoy a final morning in Ndutu, a region rich in wildlife and natural beauty. This area is home to a wide variety of animals, including elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and many other species that often come close to safari vehicles. Ndutu offers excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year. During your morning game drive, you may encounter herds of grazing animals across the plains, predators active in the early hours and close-up wildlife sightings in a शांत and open environment. The area is also known for its two seasonal lakes:

• Lake Masek
These lakes attract many animals and birds, creating beautiful and peaceful scenes. Surrounded by acacia trees, they provide excellent opportunities for photography.
